The Department of Physics, Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the field of experimental particle physics.
1. Position : Tenure-track Assistant Professor
2. Faculty : Department of Physics, Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences
3. Field of research : Experimental particle physics. The successful candidate will participate in the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider and the CDF experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider, and play leading roles in the operations of the detectors and physics analyses. Also, the candidate will be involved in developments of new particle detectors for future experiments, and is responsible for education at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
4. Starting date : As early as possible once the decision is made.
5. Term : Five years (tenure-track). Will be evaluated by the end of the period, and if successful, will be promoted to a permanent position.
6. Qualifications : PhD in experimental particle physics or closely related fields.
