Quick summary of versions :

R&D tubes : linear base, coax cables for signals.

Pre-production tubes : tapered base, 300-Ohm resistor, short pins for anodes/dynode. Need an interface PC board.

Production tubes : electrically same as pre-prod. Long pins for anodes/dynode. Mates with TSW, PCB not needed.

Latest status:

Aug 04, 2004. 82 tubes (most of batch 2) were sent to ANL.

July 20, 2004. 20 spare tubes are delivered to Tsukuba, total 220.

May 21, 2004. 24 tubes from batch 1 are sent to ANL.

Mar 11, 2004. 78 tubes are delivered to Tsukuba.

Feb 16, 2004. 92 tubes are delivered to Tsukuba.

May 22, 2003. 30 tubes returned from the vendor after SHV connectors are attached.

May 6, 2003. 36 SHV connectors from Steve arrived. Went to the vendor on May 8 with the tubes for soldering.

April 25, 2003. First 30 production tubes were delivered to Tsukuba.

H6568 20-tube order (Dec 2001)

Order placed in Dec 2001, tubes delivered to Tsukuba on Feb 12, 2002,
10 tubes (first 5 on the list each for H6568 and H6568mod) were sent to FNAL on March 15.

H6568 is the name for the tube with base assembly. The bare tube is R5900-M16.

H8711-10MOD 10-tube order (Oct 2002)

Oct 17, 2002. Order placed for ten H8711A-10MOD tubes.
To be shipped from Hamamatsu to Tsukuba on Dec 20, 2002.

Vendor called REPIC has created the PC board that converts the pins on the PMT base to the flat cable connector.
They also have made the flat cable that connects between the PC board and the PMT box.
SHV connectors are also attached at the ends of HV cables.

Two tubes (KA2449 and KA3808) were sent to Steve Kuhlmann on Feb 20, 2003.
The rest (8 tubes) are kept at Tsukuba. Not tested yet.

Test results for eight tubes (Jul 2003)

Four additional tubes were sent to Steve Kuhlmann on July 15, 2003.

Production tubes

H8711A-10MOD2 30-tube order (Feb 2003)

Order placed at the end of Feb 2003. To be delivered in 3 months.
Pin design is final. Matches TSW-type flat cable connectors.

SHV connectors from Steve will be attached in the near future,
and then tubes will be tested.

Four (out of 30) were sent to ANL on Oct 16, 2003 : SA0522, SA0457, SA0487, SA0445.

24 out of the remaining 26 were sent to ANL on May 21, 2004 :

The two kept at Tsukuba are SA0416 and SA0238, highest and lowest gains.

Second batch : 92 tubes
Order placed Nov 11 2003. To be delivered in February 2003.
Delivered to Tsukuba on Feb 16, 2004. Back with SHV attached on March 17.
82 tubes out of 92 were sent to ANL on Aug 04, 2004 (10 kept are tested for SPP).
